Sunil Khatri
Sunil P. Khatri completed his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1999. Before this, he worked with Motorola, Inc. on the designs of the MC88110 and PowerPC 603 RISC Microprocessors.
He obtained his M.S. from the University of Texas at Austin and his B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur. Khatri is an assistant professor in the department and a member of the IEEE and ACM.
Sunil's research is in the areas of VLSI Computer-Aided Design (logic as well as physical design automation), VLSI Design (techniques to address specific deep submicron issues like cross-talk and power) and cross-disciplinary topics related to these areas.
He has published more than 90 technical papers, one research monograph and one book chapter in the above areas. He also has best paper awards at ICCD-05 and DesignCon-05, and best paper nominations at VLSI Design-05 and ICCCN-03. Khatri holds five U.S. patents and his research is supported by Intel Corporation, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
He will be the Technical Program Chair for the International Workshop on Logic Synthesis (IWLS) 2008, and will serve as a Track Co-Chair for the International Conference on Computer Design (ICCD) 2007, and the International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) 2008.
